The mission
For seventy years the unidentified has been a story told by governments to themselves, in fragments, behind clearances. We collected the fragments. We cleaned them. We connected them.
Phenomainon is a living, cinematic archive assembled from declassified archives, witness testimony, and current government releases. We make what was reported searchable, comparable, and watchable — for the public, for journalists, for researchers, and for anyone willing to look.
The corpus today: 252,001 events spanning 1686 to the present, drawn from eight catalogs — UFOCAT, NUFORC, MUFON, NIDS, PILOTS, BAAS, the UK MOD files, COLARES, plus the Skinwalker Ranch record — joined, scrubbed, and embedded into a vector index for semantic recall.
The cinema is the front door. Behind it is a research instrument — the same data, exposed as a public Postgres-backed API and an MCP server you can connect to Claude, Cursor, or anything that speaks the protocol.
