Four hikers on Carl Lake trail near Mt. Jefferson observed two flying objects with strobing white lights at approximately 10,000 ft altitude, 2-3 miles west, performing maneuvers involving light streaks shooting straight down and turning at 90-degree right angles with 'light pellets' traveling within the streaks. After witnesses signaled with flashlights in a Fibonacci sequence, one craft approached and hovered about 1/2 mile away above a ridge south of the Cathedrals outcroppings. The craft then tracked the witnesses sideways at walking speed for approximately 45 minutes, playing 'peek-a-boo' behind tree tops on the ridge. The craft then vanished and reappeared 1.5 miles to the east, 'snaking' toward them, then suddenly 'popped' to a position ten feet directly in front of the witnesses. Its main white light turned off and an interior light came on revealing a three-part red, green and blue lens composition, a box inside resembling a sewing machine case, a teardrop shape with whitish metal fuselage, a disc-like structure at the stern emitting orange sparks and spherical slag larger than baseballs. The craft hovered a couple of feet above the snow with no noise except hissing from snow melting beneath it, quivered with energy, then flew up and away toward Mt. Jefferson in a slow steady non-snaking motion with a shower of sparks, disappearing into the night sky.
